Polyacrylamide is a linear polymer. The following precautions should be taken when storing it.
Storage Instructions
1. Dry Environment: Store in a dry, well-ventilated warehouse to prevent moisture. High humidity can cause polyacrylamide to clump, affecting its performance.
2. Suitable Temperature: The recommended storage temperature is 5°C - 30°C. Excessively high temperatures can accelerate product degradation and reduce its performance; excessively low temperatures can cause the product to freeze, also affecting its quality.
3. Sealed Storage: After use, seal the packaging bag securely to prevent prolonged contact with air to prevent moisture absorption and oxidation.
Precautions
1. Avoid Contamination: During storage and use, prevent rust, oil, and other impurities from entering the amide, as this will affect its flocculation effect.
2. Classified Shelves: Do not store amide with oxidizing, strong acids, or strong bases, as these substances may react chemically and cause product deterioration.
3. Preventing Accidental Ingestion: While the amide itself is non-toxic, some toxic chemicals may remain during the production process. Avoid accidental ingestion and prevent the powder from getting into the eyes, mouth, and nose. In case of contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention if necessary.
