Do you know polyacrylamide in coal washing wastewater?

Polyacrylamide agents should be widely used and have good flocculation effect. However, high-quality products will also be affected by other factors during application, resulting in poor results. When using polyacrylamide for coal washing wastewater treatment, the following issues need to be paid attention to.

When polyacrylamide is used in coal washing wastewater, attention should be paid to coal quality.

In mine production, in order to distinguish the grade of coal and improve coal utilization, it is necessary to clean the coal with water. Coal washing itself is an environmentally friendly method, but it also brings pollution, namely coal washing wastewater. This type of wastewater contains fine coal powder, sand, clay, shale, etc., and its particle size is mostly less than 50 μm. Therefore, the coal washing wastewater can interact with the particles in the water through polyacrylamide to cause the coal slime particles to agglomerate and precipitate. This is a standardized and effective way to treat coal washing wastewater. However, for some small coal washing plants, they may not have their own coal mines, so the sources of coal during the production process are different, which will lead to different coal quality. Therefore, when using polyacrylamide, there may be a problem of poor flocculation effect. Therefore, when polyacrylamide is used in coal washing wastewater, attention should be paid to coal quality.

When polyacrylamide is used in coal washing wastewater, attention should be paid to the PH value of the wastewater

Any type of sewage is constantly changing, so any use of chemicals needs to be tested first. Even for commonly used chemicals, changes in a certain aspect of the sewage will affect the overall treatment effect. The PH value is an important indicator for polyacrylamide. It is used for coal washing wastewater treatment. The type of polyacrylamide must be consistent with the pH value of the coal slime water. Usually anionic polyacrylamide is suitable for alkaline coal slime water. Cationic polyacrylamide is suitable for acidic slime water. When anionic and cationic polyacrylamide are mixed, the flocculation and sedimentation effect of slime water is better.
